The Donkey Mill Art Center is hosting its 11th annual art auction from 5-8 p.m. today at BMW of Hawaii, 74-5533 Loloku St. in Kailua-Kona.

The auction provides a rare opportunity for art enthusiasts and patrons to access a wide range of work by renowned artists while enjoying a celebratory evening in a beautiful upscale venue.

The auction draws contributions from island and national artists united in a desire to support the community art center and its work to provide rich art experiences and opportunities for the people of West Hawaii and visitors alike. Pieces by more than 50 artists will be represented in this year’s silent and live auctions in an effort to raise critical resources for the organization.

Among the works available will be pieces by print maker John Buck, photographer Wayne Levin, painter Lynn Capell, fine art prints by Bud Shark Ink, ceramicists David Kuraoka, Richard Notkin and Esther Shimazu and printmaker and painter Mayumi Oda. A complete digital catalog is available to ticket-holders and patrons unable to attend can opt to bid remotely. Tickets are available online at www.donkeymillartcenter.org.

Proceeds from the event will enable the Donkey Mill Art Center to continue providing youth and adult art programs, community events and art experiences for all throughout our community.
