Hui Malama receives $10,000

Hui Malama Ola Na ‘Oiwi recently was given $10,000 from Cigna Health and Life Insurance after being chosen as the recipient of a health-focused fundraiser during Cigna’s Gold Circle Conference in May.

The conference’s 750 attendees participated in a program where each minute of their fitness activity resulted in $2 toward Hui Malama.

“Through Cigna’s generosity, we can continue to enhance the services we provide to our Hawaii Island ohana,” said Hui Malama Executive Director Louis Hao.

The nonprofit Hui Malama is dedicated to improving the health, wellness and well-being of Hawaii Island residents so they can “Live Longer and Feel Better, Together.”
