Hawaii Island Adult Care will celebrate Chinese New Year from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday during HIAC’s Family Caregiver Respite Fun Day.

Join HIAC for an event-filled morning of qigong, massage, yummy snacks and Tribune-Herald food columnist Audrey Wilson sharing healthy food tips.

“Our respite day is a good time to meet and talk story with fellow family caregivers and relax a bit,” said HIAC staff member Lizby Logsdon.

In addition, students from the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaii at Hilo are sponsoring a medication reconciliation/brown bag event.

“Bring your loved one for free while you are here,” Logsdon said.

HIAC is located at 34 Rainbow Drive in Hilo. To reserve a spot, call 961-3747, ext. 101.
