Arthur K. Hall, 64, of Waimea died Jan. 24 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a member of Sinbad Racing, Big Island Auto Club, Hawaii Drag Racing Team and Art’s Toys. Robert Paul Hickcox, 69, of Keauhou, Kona, died Dec. 20 at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii Police Department captain, worked at the Fairmont Orchid, Kohanaiki Resort, Hilton Waikoloa Village, SIS Corp., Hawaii Tribune-Herald as a photographer and Standard Oil Corp., graduated from Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama, class of 1966 and the University of Hawaii, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Blessing of ashes noon Friday, March 2, at St. Michael’s Church in Kailua-Kona. Celebration of life 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, Old Kona Airport State Recreation Center (“Old A” pavilion). Luncheon and entertainment to follow. Survived by spouse, Florence Hickcox of Keauhou; son, Jonathan-Caleb (Kayla Evavold) Hickcox of Windsor, Colo.; daughter, Brooke Hickcox, of Savannah, Ga.; brother, Thomas Sr. (Anna) Hickcox of Keauhou; half-brother, Greg (Debbie) Hickcox of Greensboro, N.C.; brother-in-law, Fred Jr. (Susan) Orio of St. Charles, Mo.; sister-in-law, Maureen (Bill) O’Rear of San Diego; four grandchildren; four aunts; nephews, nieces, cousins.
