The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management invites the public to a presentation about the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act.

The presentation is slated for 5 p.m. today in UCB 100 on the UH-Hilo campus.

Dr. Luisa Castro, agricultural food safety program manager for the state Department of Agriculture, will present “FSMA: What You Should Know.” Topics include an overview of the law, how it affects island farms and production and information about important exemptions and scenarios. Her presentation concludes with a Q&A session.
