Police have charged a 42-year-old Puna man in connection with a domestic violence-related kidnapping incident.
Timothy Wayne Torres was arrested Saturday at 2:15 p.m. in Puna and later charged with kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening and one felony and two misdemeanor counts of domestic abuse for an incident reported Jan. 20.
Torres bail was set at $55,000 and his initial appearance in Hilo District Court is scheduled for this afternoon.
