Sumie Abe, 90, of Keaau died Jan. 21 at home. Born in Olaa, she was a retired bookkeeper for the former Nakamura Sales and Service. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Marvin (Deborah) Abe of Sherwood, Ore.; brother, Roy (Lorraine) Nakamura of Honolulu; sisters, Shizue Fujiyama and Alice Oie of Keaau; two grandchildren and a great-grandson; nieces and nephews. Brian Lokela Keohuloa, 63, of Pahala died Jan. 11 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a diesel mechanic for the Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Inc., Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and a member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 3) at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome. Cremation to follow. Seigo Shiigi, 91, of Hilo died Jan. 17. Born in Pahoa, he was a retired account clerk for the former Hilo Ice and Cold Storage, owner of the former Shiigi Store in Pahoa, member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and U.S. Army veteran. Gerald T. Sullivan Jr., 56, of Hilo died Jan. 5.
