Police have charged a 36-year-old Kailua-Kona man with sexual offenses for an incident reported Saturday.
Shawn Christopher Vasquez was charged Monday with kidnapping and two counts of third-degree sexual assault for the incident, which police said occurred in Kailua-Kona.
Vasquez’s bail was set at $14,000 and his initial appearance is scheduled for Tuesday morning in Kona District Court.
