Dorothy Tapang Bartolome, 101, of Hilo died Jan. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 24) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. Urn burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by sons, Richard Tapang (Maile) Bartolome of Vancouver, Wash., and Gary J. (Beth) Bartolome of Hilo; daughter, Patricia Mae (Fred) Basilio of Hilo; sisters, Irene Ingano of Honolulu, Violet Dryman of Napa Valley, Calif., and Natalie Buza of Hilo; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. Ethan Lanakila Spencer, 44, of Waimea died Jan. 9. Born in Honolulu, he was a high school teacher at Hawaii Preparatory Academy and a minister of The Church of the Resurrection.
