Roth dishonest

Over the weekend, our taxpayer-funded village idiot, Hawaii County Prosecutor Mitch Roth, attended a propaganda meeting hosted by state Rep. Joy San Buenaventura at the Pahoa Neighborhood Center regarding crime and drug abuse in Puna to pretend as if his office is actually doing something about these serious issues.

Yet, it is an open secret here in Puna that the police are corrupt and in bed with the meth dealers, so who do they think they are kidding?

During the meeting, Roth attempted to mislead the public by downplaying the negative impact on human rights of cannabis prosecutions being conducted in our local courts and untruthfully claimed no one faces jail for pot on the Big Island.

Upstanding citizen Michael Ruggles of Puna is being prosecuted by Roth’s office for openly and transparently operating a California-style medical cannabis collective that allowed patients to transfer excess medicine among themselves. Since a police raid, patients have been left without safe, affordable access to medicine, and Roth is to blame.

Now that “Lying Mitch” has been exposed as a menace to decent society, he should resign and apologize for the harm he has caused to the Puna community by wrongfully prosecuting Ruggles.

If “Lying Mitch” doesn’t want to resign, perhaps we could have him stand in front of a lava flow and tell Pele he will prosecute her if the lava doesn’t stop.

Mahalo, ‘angel’

On Friday, Dec. 29, I stopped by Safeway to pick up a few items and when I returned to my car, I saw a note on the windshield.

A very caring person had left me a note saying that a Toyota Tacoma had hit my front end while backing up their car. I have not had a chance to have my grandson check the damage done to my car, but I just wanted to write you anyway to acknowledge and thank the person who left the note.

God bless you and may 2018 hold many blessings of good health and happiness. The world needs more guardian angels like you.
