Doris Browner Liberato, 80, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 30 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in Los Angeles, she was a former receptionist at West Hawaii Today, receptionist and bookkeeper for Jack’s Tours and an HIBT angler. No services planned. Survived by husband, Richard Liberato of Kailua-Kona; son, Fred (Char) Davis of Thailand; daughters, Diana Ballard of California, Phyllis Davis of Kailua-Kona and Nikki (Mark) Davis and Jeni Davis of Sacramento, Calif., Celeste (John) Solomon of Honolulu, Zena Wright of Hawaii Kai, Oahu; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances “Fran” Rae McClure, 74, of Honaunau died Jan. 4 at her residence. Born in Seattle, she was a retired microbiologist for Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii at Kona Community Hospital, a coffee farmer and jewelry designer. Private service held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. Survived by husband, John McClure of Honaunau; stepsons, David (Vera) McClure and Scott (Beth) McClure of California. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Loretta Pascua Nakano, 71, of Hilo died Jan. 4 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was an educational assistant at Hilo High School. Private services held. No flowers; no koden (monetary offerings). Survived by husband, Rodney Nakano of Hilo; daughters, Kelly (Matt) Devlin of Portland, Ore., and Jamie (Ken) Shimozono of Honolulu; son, Ryan (Cody Takenaka) of Honolulu; sisters, Elena (Steve) Ongais of Hilo and Verna (Leslie) Watanabe of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt. Wayne Michael Perry, 53, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 3 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Newport Beach, Calif., he was a sales and marketing representative for Wyndham Resorts Worldwide, surfer, photographer and business owner. Celebration of life 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 20, at the south bay of Pine Trees Beach. Service at 10 a.m. Pot blessing to follow.
