Sharon Mae Fujiwara, 68, of Hilo died Dec. 23 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired service supervisor at Bank of Hawaii. Visitation 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by son, Sheldon (Leigh Ann) Yokomizo of Hilo; daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Iwata of Hilo; sisters, Jo Ann (Arnold) Inouye of Honolulu and Dorothy (Raymond) Chang of Hilo; stepson, Fred Fujiwara of Hilo; stepdaughter, Tina Fujiwara of Hilo; brother-in-law, Donald Fujiwara of Kailua-Kona; sisters-in-law, Debra Fujiwara and Rachel (Wilfred) Soong of Honolulu; 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Thompson “Dyke” Quihano, 87, of Kalapana died Dec. 19 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Pahala, he was a retired plaster man for the former Matthew Kang Construction and Outrigger Hotel on Oahu and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa and Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association Local No. 630 AFL-CIO. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Friday (Jan. 12) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Michael Quihano and Thompson (Sherylanne) Kuuipo Quihano of Kalapana; daughter, Chasity (Glenn Juan) Quihano of Ainaloa; brothers, Franklin (Lilinoe) Quihano and Joseph (Bertha) Quihano of Honolulu, Raymond (Ulu) Quihano of Pahoa, Floyd (Noe) Quihano of Kalapana and Teddy (Colleen) Pau of Hilo; sisters, Starlight Kaopuiki and Lucy Scullion of Honolulu and Rebecca Pau of Pahoa; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Kazuo Shishido, 82, of Hilo died Dec. 18 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Olaa, he was a retired carpenter at Pohakuloa Training Area, member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Elsie Shishido of Hilo; daughter, Lucien Shishido of Hilo; sons, Sean Shishido and Brian Shishido of Hilo; brother, Akiharu (Mary) Shishido of Gig Harbor, Wash.; brothers-in-law, Yoriyuki Kano of Pahoa and Sukeyuki Kano, Mayuki (Polly) Kano and Harry (Naomi) Kano of Oahu; nieces.
