The public is invited to sign up for Wednesday night dance classes with the Big Island Ballroom Dance Club.

Classes are open to people of all ages; singles and couples are welcome. Students will learn dance steps from instructors who are caring, helpful and friendly.

Classes begin Jan. 3 and will take place at the Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. in Hilo. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and classes start at 7.

Students will learn the hustle, bolero and fox trot. The annual membership fee is $15. If you want to take one dance class, the fee is $6 for 10 weeks of class.

The club also will be hosting its Valentine Dance on Feb. 14 at Aunty Sally’s Luau Hale.
