The Hilo Aquatics’ swimmer was one the big winners at the state age group short course championships, capturing six golds at Kona Community Aquatic Center.
With three wins in freestyle events, two in individual medleys and one breaststroke triumph, Hayashida was the high point scorer in the boys 11-12 division.
