Christian Keala Leialoha Sr., 90, of Papaikou died Nov. 22 at home. Born in Hilo, he owned C. Leialoha Plumbing Service, worked for the county and state governments and Otis Elevators and was a member of The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hilo, Kaieie Kumiai, United Public Workers and Hawaii Government Employees Association. Rex Yoshio Matsuno, 96, of Hilo died Nov. 30 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired president for Suisan Company Ltd., U.S. Army Military Intelligence Service (Interpreters) World War II veteran and member of Hilo Meishoin, Hilo Crescent City Lions Club and Gambare Golf Club. James “Jim” “Tiny” Elmer Mills, 73, of Hilo died Dec. 8 at Hilo Medical Center.
