One person is dead and two others injured after a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon near mile marker 34 on Highway 19 in Paauilo.

At approximately 3:58 p.m. on Saturday, a four-door sedan traveling north on Highway 19 hydroplaned, crossed the centerline and collided with a pickup truck heading south, according to a Fire Department report.

The occupant of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. The occupants of the truck reportedly had minor injuries, with one being treated and transported while the other was treated and released at the scene.
