The Hawaii Police Department reports the temporary closure of Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) leading into Waimea town from Kona due to a downed utility wire. Traffic heading toward Waimea from North Kona will be diverted through Ala Ohia Road. Motorist are asked to avoid this location as crews conducts repairs.
The expected closure time is approximately four hours.
