Quick response by firefighters Monday evening confined a fire at a Hawaiian Paradise Park home to a storage room and carport.

Fourteen units responded to the 8:55 p.m. alarm, with the first unit arriving at the Ala Heiau Road home four minutes later.

Arriving firefighters extinguished the small fire, which was deemed accidental in nature, by 9:08 p.m.

Two people are living in the home and no one was injured.

Damage was estimated at $17,000, with the estimated property value saved at $520,000.
