Nobu Yamauchi RBI registration

Nobu Yamauchi RBI is planning a winter softball league season from October to December, with games to be played on Sundays for girls ages 13-18.

Winter league players are eligible to make the RBI travel team to play in the West Regional tournament in July.

Fees range from $75-120.

Free UHH tennis clinic Oct. 7

The next University of Hawaii Hilo free tennis clinic is set for Oct. 7 at the UHH tennis courts.

The clinic is open to tennis players and adults of all ages and will run from 9-11 a.m. It will be staffed by UHH men’s and women’s tennis players and will be directed by Vulcan tennis coach Tina McDermott.

Kohala volleyball registration

The Kohala Community Athletic Association has registration open for youth volleyball.

Sign-ups are available through Sept. 27 for grades 4-8.

Practice starts in October with games running mid-October through the end of November.
