Small brush fire off Henry Street quickly extinguished

Firefighters quickly extinguished a small brush fire that ignited Tuesday afternoon near the Henry Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway intersection in Kailua-Kona. The Hawaii Fire Department responded to the brush fire about 12:40 p.m. When crews arrived, they were able to smother the flames within five minutes. It burned a 40-by-40-yard area of brush. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is unknown.
