Born in Paauilo, he was a landscaper for the former King’s Landing Co., U.S. Army World War II veteran, member of Opihikao Congregational Church and founder, past president and member of Visayan Club of Hawaii. Pearl Kahaunani Ah Tou Lau-Ignacio, 78, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died July 26. Born in Keaukaha, she was a retired ERA Realty franchise owner, real estate broker, kumu hula, former IBM employee, Kohl’s seasonal employee, U.S. Army veteran who served at the Pentagon and 1956 Hilo High School alumna. No services. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Survived by husband, Matthews Ignacio; sons, Charles Lau and Harvey (Susan) Lau; daughter, Teresa (John) Steck; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The late Fernando Agno Tagalicod is survived by, among others, Briginia Tagalicud of Hilo. Her name and relationship to the decedent were incorrectly submitted for an obituary published Sunday.
