During a second and final vote, the Hawaii County Council adopted Wednesday an alcohol ban at James Kealoha Beach Park in Hilo and Kahakai Park in Puna.

During a second and final vote, the Hawaii County Council adopted Wednesday an alcohol ban at James Kealoha Beach Park in Hilo and Kahakai Park in Puna.

The bill was adopted in an 8-0 vote with Council Chairwoman Valerie Poindexter excused.

At the meeting, the council also passed a bill that authorizes a farmers market at Hakalau Veterans Park and Volcano Park.
