The cause of two separate fires on the same Orchidland Estates property is under investigation by fire inspectors.

According to a written Fire Department statement, three units responded to the 1 p.m. Wednesday alarm at 16-2042 37th Ave. Arriving units found a fire in a pile of wood spreading to nearby brush with about a 600-sq.-ft. area involved, plus a pile of paper products burning in a Quonset hut.

The fires were extinguished by 1:30 p.m. with only about $200 in property damage.

No one appeared to be around the property, which according to county tax records, is owned by Jeffrey Alan Stuebgen and Laurie Lei Araujo-Stuebgen.
