A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near South Point, according to U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor occurred at 10:09 a.m. at a depth of 24 miles. It was located about 16 miles east-southeast of Hawaiian Ocean View.

Hawaii County Civil Defense says the quake wasn’t large enough to generate a tsunami and there were no immediate reports of injuries or property damage. Those who felt it are asked to check utility connections of gas, water and electricity.

The quake was reportedly felt across Hawaii Island and on Maui, according to USGS.
