Jason Abregana Sr., 50, of Kalispell, Mont., formerly of Hilo and Ewa Beach, Oahu, died Feb. 16 in Montana. Born in Honolulu, he was a correctional officer. Services held. Survived by sons, Jason “J.J.” Abregana Kahee and Reno Kahee of Montana; daughters, Alyssa Abregana and Alison Abregana of Washington; mother, Mary Lou Abregana of Hilo; brothers, Jaime (Renee) Abregana Jr. of Honolulu, Jed Abregana of Montana and Jay Abregana of Arizona; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Michael Joseph Moynahan, 78, of Waimea died March 16 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was the owner of Kamaaina Golf Makers and a U.S. Navy veteran. Private services on Oahu. No flowers. Memorial donations to North Hawaii Hospice, 65-1328 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela, HI 96743. Survived by wife, Joan Moynahan of Waimea; daughter, Shawn Moynahan of Kailua, Oahu; son, Brendan (Anne Marie) Moynahan of Waimea; brother, Pete (Yone) Moynahan of Waimea; two grandchildren; a nephew. Alice Solywoda, 94, of Hilo died April 5 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Warsaw, Poland, she was a homemaker and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Catholic churches. Graveside urn committal services at noon Tuesday (April 25) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by sons, Thomas (Marian) Solywoda of Keaau, Andrew (Dottie) Solywoda of Pasadena, Md., and Philip (Sue) Solywoda of Hilo; daughters, Lucille (Jan) Horak of Scottsdale, Ariz., Donna (Augie) Rodriguez of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Lois (John) McGuire of Mountain View; daughter-in-law, Pia Solywoda of Honolulu; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The late Jan Booth Campbell was survived by, among others, four grandchildren. An incorrect total appeared in an obituary published Sunday. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
