Philomena “Nina” Alcain Arnise, 82, of Kailua-Kona died March 27 at home. Born in Keei, she was a housewife, coffee farmer and member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau. Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by husband, Frank Arnise Sr. of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Francine (Kippy) King of Clearwater, Fla.; son, Freddy (Sawan) Arnise of Spring, Texas; brothers, Roger (Linda) Alcain of Captain Cook, Greg Alcain of Kealakekua, Benjamin (Barbara) Alcain of Pleasanton, Calif., and Andres (Olena) Alcain of Napoopoo; sisters, Lucina Alcain and Norma Duterte of Napoopoo, Andrea Alcain of Ocean View; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Theresa Marie Nye, 72, of Honaunau died April 8 at home. Born in Detroit, she was a homemaker. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Bible First Mission Church in Captain Cook.
