Guest photographer Lee Schechtman will talk about capturing images of animals in zoos during the next meeting of the Hawaii Photo Shooters at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Komohana Agriculture Research and Extension Center, 875 Komohana St., Room D-202.

Schechtman has been taking photographs at zoos for decades. He will share some of his photos and tips for dealing with cages, glass windows and other impediments to natural-looking photographs. Schechtman says many zoos also tout themselves as botanical gardens, providing interesting flora as well as a variety of fauna to photograph.

Schechtman’s presentation is free of charge and open to the public.
