Schatz hosting town hall in Hilo
U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz will host a town hall meeting April 18 in Hilo.
The meeting is from 1-2:30 p.m. at the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s Sciences and Technology Building, Room 108.

Ka‘u Wellness Fair set for Saturday
Get your spring on during the Ka‘u Wellness Fair from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Ka‘u Gym Multi-Purpose Room.
The event will include an egg hunt for keiki at 9 a.m., a healthy fun run-walk at 9:30, book time read aloud with Friends of the Library at 10 and Blue Zones Project purpose workshop from 10-11:30.
Also scheduled are booths featuring PATH, proponents of bikeways, sidewalks and pathways on Hawaii Island, the Children’s Community Council, Ka‘u Rural Health Clinic and Hospital, Project Aware, Bay Clinic, vision screening, Tutu and Me, HSTA and more.

Health screening, vegan food offered
Free health screening and vegan food will be offered at 6 p.m. May 14-27 (except Wednesdays and Thursdays) at the Kurtistown Seventh-day Adventist Church, 17-594 Highway 11.
Blood pressure and blood glucose checks and alkaline/acid body testing will be provided. A Bible prophecy seminar will be presented after the meal each night.
