The Vulcans took two from last-place Holy Names, 11-0 and 23-3, in a PacWest softball Tuesday in Hayward, Calif., their first sweep in 10 conference doubleheaders.
The Vulcans (13-16, 7-12 PacWest) pounded 39 hits over two TKO five-inning blowouts.
The Hawks (3-24, 2-18) committed five errors in each game.
In the 11-0 win, Kristen Ishii, Mari Kawano, and Danielle Pulido, who hit a solo homer, each had three hits for the Vuls. Kawano, Bailey Gasper, and Pulido each had two RBIs.
Danielle Antolin added a pair of hits.
Leah Gonzales fired a three-hitter for the win. She walked one and whiffed six in five innings.
In the 23-3 rout, Billi Derleth and Cristina Menjivar each clubbed three-run homers. Derleth batted 2 for 3 with four RBIs and Menjivar 3 for 4 with five RBIS.
Ishii had four hits while Kawana, and Pulido had three each, and Maria Steadmon, Brinell Kalekini, and Antolin each added a pair of hits.
Cyanne Fernandez pitched three innings of scoreless relief for the win.
Golf
UHH’s Jared Kinoshita shot a 1-over-par 73 to finish 11th at the UC San Diego SoCal Intercollegiate golf tournament at Santee, Calif., on Tuesday.
The Vuls placed 11th out of 15 teams.

Stanislaus State defeated UHH 7-2 in a women’s match Tuesday at Turlock, Calif.
