Police arrested a 29-year-old Puna man suspected of three reported carjackings in the last two weeks in lower Puna.

Officers received a tip Tuesday that Mason Beck was on foot in Pahoa village. He was taken into custody without incident and later charged with kidnapping, three counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of driving a stolen vehicle.

Bail was set at $220,000 and he’s scheduled to appear this afternoon in Hilo District Court.
