Grab your lawn chairs and kicking shoes, along with your family and friends to cheer you on, for the second annual PARENTS Hilo Kickball Tournament from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. April 8 at Walter Victor Complex.

Proceeds from the double-elimination tournament will support PARENTS and its efforts to “kick child abuse and neglect out of Hawaii.”

Teams of eight or more (a maximum of 15) can be comprised of co-workers, family or friends and made up of adults or a combination of adults, teens and children ages 8 and older. The entry fee is $300 per team from March 5-25; $500 if registered from March 26-31. The deadline for team registration is April 1.

Each team will compete for prizes and be judged on costumes or uniforms. There also will be music, craft vendors, food, entertainment and a free keiki zone (activities, games, prizes).

The Walter Victor Complex is located at 152 Kuawa St. To sponsor or register a team, visit www.hawaiiparents.org. Anyone interested in volunteering or making a donation can call 934-9552.
