UH-Hilo’s senior sharpshooter put on a dizzying scoring display in his final college game Saturday, tallying a career-high 47 points to lead the Vulcans to a 95-88 victory against Dominican in San Rafael, Calif.

Farris made six 3-pointers and was 15 of 16 from the free-throw line for UH-Hilo (10-16, 8-12 Pac West), which finished the season by winning four of six.

Eric III Wattree (12 points) and Brian Ishola (11) also scored in double figures.

• Sandra Ikeora scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for her Dominican team that led almost from start to finish during a 75-62 win over UHH.

The win secured a tournament berth for the Penguins, who improved to 16-11 on the season and to 12-8 in league action. The season ends for the Vulcans at 8-15 overall and 8-12 PWC play.

Kim Schmelz led UH Hilo with 15 points, hitting 7-of-14 shots from the field. Senior Lauren Hong had 11 points in her final college game, while Patience Taylor also had 10. Asia Smith pulled down 10 boards to lead the visitors in that category.
