Police have charged a 30-year-old Hilo man for the Tuesday robbery of the Kealakekua branch of American Savings Bank.

Police have charged a 30-year-old Hilo man for the Tuesday robbery of the Kealakekua branch of American Savings Bank.

At 12:45 p.m. today Kona Criminal Investigations Section detectives charged Russell Monlux with first-degree robbery, second-degree theft and second-degree terroristic threatening.

Monlux’s bail was set at $37,000 and he remains in the Kona police cellblock pending his initial court appearance Monday.
