Sakae Fuke, 93, of Hilo died Dec. 10 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Mountain View, she was a retired office clerk for Meadow Gold Dairies and member of the Hilo Meishoin Mission. Private services held. No flowers; no koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughter, Cheryl Ann (William) Takaba of Hilo; grandchildren, Aaron (Maya) Takaba of Hilo and Jamie (Dustin) Shindo of Honolulu; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephew. Dorothy Elizabeth Nishie, 84, of Waiaka died Dec. 17 at home. Born in Waiaka, she was a rancher and worked as an assistant housekeeper at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimea 1st Ward. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Lakme Nishie of Waiaka; son, Bruce Nishie of Waimea; sisters, Grace Inamine and Barbara Robertson of Waiaka; brother, Anthony (Noelani) Phillips Jr. of Waiaka; brother-in-law, Shigeru Nishie of Los Angeles; sisters-in-law, Betty Nishie of Hilo and Jane Nishie of Laupahoehoe; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Roy Haruo Tokuyama, 91, of Hilo died Dec. 17 at home. Born in Ookala, he was a retired manager of Diamond Head Papaya Company in Hilo and U.S. Army sergeant and World War II veteran. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 3) at Higashi Hongwanji Mission, 216 Mohouli St. in Hilo. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Sally S. Tokuyama of Hilo; son, Arnold (Lynn) Tokuyama of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Susan Honda of Keaau; three grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
