Abelardo “Abe” Vicente Bulosan, 83, of Pahoa died Dec. 12 at home. Born in Pahoa, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp., U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 10 a.m. Burial at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Catalina L. Bulosan of Pahoa; son, Christopher Lee Bulosan of Pahoa; sister, Angela (Adriano) Castro of Wahiawa, Oahu; brother, Basilio (Marcy) Bulosan of Pahoa; a grandson and hanai granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry Sakae Kiyotsuka, 75, of Hilo died Dec. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired manager with the Honolulu Painting Company in Hilo and veteran of the U.S. Army. Survived by wife, Eulanda “Linda” Kiyotsuka of Hilo; son, Paul (Raelyn) Kiyotsuka of Hilo; stepdaughter, Fay (Felix) Nosaka of Keaau; brothers, Roy (Teru Amy) Kiyotsuka and Kenneth (Diane) Kiyotsuka of Hilo and Clarence (Katy) Kiyotsuka of Honolulu; sister, Florence Hensen of Honolulu; two grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.
