Shirley Ann Rizzo, 67, of Hilo died Dec. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she was a retired social work supervisor for state Child Protective Services and member of Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church. Cremated remains will be blessed on Third Sunday of Advent Mass, 9 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 11) at Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church, 326 Desha Ave. in Keaukaha. Survived by husband, Gary Rizzo; son, Christopher (Meagan) Rizzo; daughter, Lori Rizzo; six grandchildren; cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Lorenzo “Billy” “Papa Renzo” Watan, 60, of Captain Cook died Dec. 2 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was an electrician and owner of LW Electric. Private service at a later date. Survived by wife, Earlene Watan; sons, Billy (Kamailei Ynigues) Watan Sr. and Joshua (Tashya) Watan of Captain Cook; sisters, Magdalena (Ernest) Watan-Abrojina of Captain Cook and Margaret (Bobby) Smith of Montana; hanai son, Duane (Carlie) Isaia of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughters, Misty (Kona) Akeo and Melissa Watan of Captain Cook; father-in-law, Earl Leite of Puna; brother-in-law, Minoru Hanato of Captain Cook; sisters-in-law, Marvalee Banagan of Kailua-Kona and Gail Banagan of Captain Cook, Earlanne Leslie of Hilo; 13 grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. The late Orlino Acob Ducaycay was survived by, among others, daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Lisa” (Richard) Costorio, and four great-great-grandchildren. Incomplete information was submitted for an obituary published Thursday.
