The Rainbow Warriors fell 75-62 to the Ivy League Tigers at Bloch Arena on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
UH (4-5) shot just 38 percent from the floor, including 4 of 19 from long distance, and was outrebounded 35-28. Slow-starting Hawaii trailed 43-23 at halftime.
Noah Allen scored 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting and Gibson Johnson had 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting for the Rainbow Warriors, who dropped their third straight game.
In all three losses, UH had more turnovers than assists. The Rainbow Warriors had 10 turnovers and eight assists, better than 18 turnovers and eight assists in a 68-57 loss to Seton Hall a night earlier.
Steven Cook scored 21 points to lead Princeton (3-4), which shot 46 percent from the field, including 10 of 24 from beyond the arc.
Hawaii went on a 15-4 run to cut into a 20-point halftime deficit and pull within 47-38 with about 15 minutes left but didn’t get closer.
It was the first meeting between the schools.
In the first game of the tourney’s final day, Seton Hall beat California 60-57.
UH next plays in the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22 against Illinois State at the Stan Sheriff Center.
