Betty Yok Sim Araujo, 95, of Hilo died Nov. 27 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Kurtistown, she worked for Dick’s Coffee House in Hilo and was a lei maker. Private service held. Theresa Marie English, 66, of Hakalau died Oct. 24 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, she was a former banker, a deacon of the Hilo Coast United Church of Christ, a community assistance volunteer, a member of the Rotary Club of Hilo, American Association of University Women Hilo Branch, Children of Faith Missions, Women’s Walking Group, and a lychee, macadamia nut and coffee farmer. Visitation 10:30 a.m.-noon Dec. 17 (Saturday) at Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu. Celebration of life at noon. Lunch to follow. Aloha attire. Leilani Rosaline Tagalicod, 75, formerly Leilani Rosaline Marzo, of Pahoa, died Nov. 12. at her daughter’s home in Hilo. Born in Olaa, she worked at Frank Huff Agency, and was a secretary at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She retired from Kamehameha Early Education Program as a secretary and was a member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Ka’ahumanu Society Hilo Chapter 3. Visitation 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 10) at the Pahoa Sacred Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Cemetery. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome.
