William John Babchuk, 89, of Keaau died Nov. 12 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, he was a millwright, welder, square dancer and U.S. Army veteran. Private services. Survived by wife, Jennie Babchuk of Keaau; daughter, Maureen (Michael) Ward of California; sons, Wayne (Alberta) Babchuk of Nevada, Randy Babchuk of Arizona and Jeffery (Sherry) Babchuk of California; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
