Youth rugby season on tap

The Hawaii Youth Rugby season will begin Jan. 7 for the elementary-middle school age bracket, and the high school age season starts Feb 4.

Hilo Reign rugby club is always looking for those players who are willing to learn and participate in rugby. One can either play flag rugby or contact.

They accept both boys and girls. Games will be played only on Saturdays.

St. Joseph needs tennis coach

The St. Joseph School athletic department is looking for a volunteer tennis coach to help coach the boys/girls teams.

Honokaa High seeks coaches

Honokaa High is accepting applications for the following coaching positions: boys volleyball, track, tennis, golf, judo, andsoftball and assistants as well.

Applications are available at the school office Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Deadline is Monday, Nov. 18. Applications may be turned in at the main office or athletic director in the gym.

Pahoa meeting on tap Nov. 15

Pahoa High athletics will be having a winter season mandatory parent athletic meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the school cafeteria.

• Pahoa will be having First-Aid, CPR and AED training for all school coaches from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 in the school gym.
