The Hawaii flag will fly high at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas thanks to one of Hilo’s own.
In early December, Cabral, a Waiakea graduate, will become the first cowboy from Hawaii to compete in the steer wrestling competition at the finals in its 80 year history.
Cabral enters the event in 15th place with $55,369 in regular season earnings.
