It wasn’t just two goals but two very big goals for the senior, who may have provided the biggest highlight for UH-Hilo women’s soccer this season.
Gonzalez had a ball on Senior Night, accounting for all of her team’s scoring in the Vulcans’ first Pacific West Conference victory of the season, a 2-1 upset win Saturday against Point Loma.
The Burbank, Calif., native was the first player this season to score two goals against the Sea Lions. She entered the contest with one score to her credit, but came away with PacWest Player of the Week.
