Hilo’s Paradise Roller Girls will host its final game of the 2016 season at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

The Waimea Wranglers and Resurrection Roller Girls of Ronhert Park, Calif., are scheduled to compete at this family friendly roller derby event.

“I’m really excited to skate on the track with my team,” said Michiko ‘Miso Deadly’ Hammond, one of PRG’s newest skaters. “We’ve all been training hard at practice and with this being our last game, we are surely going to give it our best and close out the season with a ‘hit.’”

The first game at 3 p.m. will feature Waimea versus Resurrection. The Big Island Babes, Hawaii’s junior derby, will have two intersquad scrimmages (by age group) at 5 and 6 p.m. Paradise Roller Girls is set to play Resurrection at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 (keiki 5 years and younger are free) and can be purchased at Lucy’s Taqueria, Kadota Liquor, Jungle Love, Mt. View Village Video, from any roller girl or at the door.
