Akaka Falls Lions Club members Ben Cockett and Tamara Brown present a $10,000 check from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to Hale ‘Oluea Clubhouse Director Genevieve Parks. In addition, the Akaka Falls club, in partnership with the foundation, recently assisted Hale ‘Oluea by completing a major beautification project. Nearly 30 Lions and others pressure-washed the driveway and a portion of the parking lot, applied a fresh coat of paint for the interior and cleared weeds in the garden.
