Police are asking for the public’s help to identifying a man suspected of shoplifting at the downtown Hilo Sack ’N Save store.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identifying a man suspected of shoplifting at the downtown Hilo Sack ’N Save store.

On July 28, the man allegedly took items valued at $157 and left the store without paying.

He’s described as in his 30s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, 180 to 190 pounds with dark hair and a mustache and goatee. His image was captured on a surveillance camera.

Anyone who knows his identity is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
