Police are seeking information about an assault Monday night in Puna.
Officers responding to an anonymous 10 p.m. report found an unresponsive, 44-year-old man bleeding from the head on the side of Upper Puna Road in the Kalapana Black Sands subdivision.
The man was taken to Hilo Medical Center and later flown to The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
