‘Active shooter’ comes to Honokaa

‘Active shooter’ comes to Honokaa

The Hawaii Police Department will conduct a free “active shooter” presentation from 6-7:30 p.m. July 19 in Honokaa.

The presentation, open to the public, will take place in the large conference room at the North Hawaii Education and Research Center, 45-539 Plumeria St.

It is designed to help individuals increase their survivability should they encounter an active shooter or other type of active violent incident.

The program will conclude with a question-and-answer segment.

People unable to attend can view the “Active Shooter/Violence Awareness” page on the Hawaii Police Department’s website, www.hawaiipolice.com, under the “Services” tab.
