Paul Gillespie Jensen, 73, of Kailua-Kona died June 20 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Oakland, Calif., he was a retired Realtor for Clark Realty and had a long sales career in California, including with Printed Circuits International and Optical Coating Laboratories. Celebration of life 3 p.m.-sunset Saturday, July 16, at Kona By The Sea. Pupus to share welcome. Cold drinks will be served. Survived by wife, Kathleen Jensen of Kailua-Kona; stepson, Brian McNutt (Amy) Jensen of San Mateo, Calif.; sister, Barbara (Ray) Capra of Lafayette, Calif.; two granddaughters; three nieces and a nephew. Derek Dwight Pacheco, 63, of Hilo died June 17 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired assistant Hawaii County Police Department chief who also commanded the department’s Special Response Team, and coached several sports for organizations including Hawaii Isle Police Activities League (HI-PAL), Hilo High School, Kaumana Twins baseball, Positive Alternative Gang Education (PAGE), Nalu Girls volleyball, and was a member of Hilo Yacht Club and Life is Good Golf Club. Private services. Survived by wife, Sheri R. Pacheco of Hilo; sons, Derek “Danny” Pacheco of Hilo and Bobby Correa-Midel of Kaneohe, Oahu; daughters, Sheral Correa-Pacheco and Charisse Correa of Hilo, Taryn (Dennis) Agmata of Lahaina, Maui, Erica (Michael) Agmata of Las Vegas; mother, Irene Betty Pacheco of Hilo; sisters, Arlene Gali of Hilo and Donna (Tom) Tanimura of Manoa; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Walter M. Schilling Jr., 66, of Pahoa died June 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was a retired security officer. Graveside services noon Tuesday (July 5) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by wife, Judy Schilling of Pahoa; son, Walter M. Schilling of New Jersey; daughters, Jeanne (Anthony) Gelak of New Jersey and Tracy (Robert) Martin of South Carolina; sister, Samirah Amantullah “Deborah C. Schilling” of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.

Barbara Evelyn Wright, 90, of Waikoloa, forrmerly of Missoula, Mont., died June 23 at the Regency at Hualalai. Born in Pasadena, Calif., she was a microbiologist, biochemist and immunologist, a post-doctoral fellow at Carslberg Laboratory in Copenhagen, Denmark, researcher for National Institute of Health, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and University of Montana, and former Olympic kayaker. Services at a later date. No flowers. Memorial donations to Audubon Society. Survived by daughters, Sonja Kalckar of Honokaa and Nina Kalckar of Waimea; nieces and nephews. Isamu Yoshida, 91, of Mountain View died June 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired sales manager for the former Excelsior Dairy.
