Police are investigating a robbery at the Hilo Target store on Makaala Street.
At approximately 5:32 p.m. Tuesday, a woman was seen leaving the store with merchandise not paid for, police said. When a 27-year old woman store employee approached the woman outside the store, the woman allegedly hit the employee, ran to a white 2-door sedan in the parking lot and drove away.
The woman is described as Caucasian, in her early 40s, about 5-foot-11 and 130 pounds with dark eyes and short dark hair. She was wearing a white long-sleeved dress. Her image was captured on a surveillance camera.
