• Kyle Hanagami of Hilo received his bachelor’s degree at Grand View University (Des Moines, Iowa) during commencement ceremonies April 30 at Hy Vee Hall in the Iowa Events Center.
• Gabrielle Gleason of Kamehameha School-Hawaii was selected to receive an achievement scholarship from Southern Arkansas University. The scholarship includes $1,000 per semester and has a four-year value of $8,000.
